​The Bunyip Pump by Ralph Glockemann will be on display on Saturday 17th March 2018 at:
- Braidwood Farmers Market 10am-12pm and/or:
- Tombarra at 2pm - this will be a bigger display and you will get to see the pump in action in the river. 
$25 entrance which includes a sausage sizzle and cold drink.  All welcome.

Farm Dojo Course
Bread making

When: Saturday 26th November - 9am for a 9.30am start
Where: Tombarra
Course Fee: $154 per person which includes lunch and morning tea, as well as coffee on arrival, materials needed to make bread on the day, some sample ingredients and take home notes.

This course is suitable for complete beginners and also experienced food professionals - this is a good start if you just want to make some bread for the home or if you are interested in commercial bread.

The course covers ingredient selection, recipes and formulations, mixing dough, moulding bread into loaves and rolls, proving, baking, cooling and storing bread. All types of bread are covered.

Permaculture Weekend

The Nick Huggins group is offering the Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC), at Tombarra. This is a live-in course part time over 3 weekends (12 days): Fri 30 Sept to Mon 3 Oct, Fri 7 Oct to Mon 10 Oct, Fri 21 Oct to Mon 24 Oct.

This course is the full 72 hour PDC set out by Bill Mollison and the Permaculture Institute.

Raising Healthy Hens

A free one day workshop for people who are or have an interest in running a small to medium scale poultry enterprise. Sponsored by South East Local Land Services.

Presentations By: Dr Jayne Weller regarding poultry disease and other major health issues. Bronwyn Richards (Wynlen House) regarding basic poultry husbandry. Dr Kate Sawford (South East Local Land Services) regarding appropriate medication for flocks.

Mulloon Creek Natural Sequence Farming Demonstration

10 years on - so successful is the original NSF demonstration that it is expanding to the whole catchment, an area of 23,000Ha. Called the Mulloon Community Landscape Rehydration Project (MCLRP), it will vastly improve: productivity, water quality, stream flow, biodiversity and resilience.

Sunday, 19th June, Mulloon Creek Natural Farms - Bungendore, NSW. $25.00 per person. Lunch and snack available for purchase on the day.

Farm Dojo Course
Bushcraft & Eucalyptus Oil

When: Saturday 5th November - 9am for a 9.30am start
Where: on the grounds of Tombarra
Course Fee: $154 per person which includes a sample bottle of oil, notes, lunch and afternoon BBQ. Accommodation and BYO is extra. 

Aimed at people interested in the history of Eucalyptus Oil production as well as those who want to make some themselves, at whatever scale.

Topics included will be the sustainable harvest of leaves, leaf identification and preparation, water, equipment, distillation, wood and fire, packaging and use of eucalyptus.

The presentation and instruction will be done by Lloyd W and Barry J, two recently retired boilers.
