Tombarra consists of 12 self-contained Studio units and a three bedroom Cottage and can cater for up to 50 persons in a comfortable, relaxing and peaceful bushland environment. There are also limited caravan and camping options and this has been done to preserve the open space and ambiance that Tombarra has. Located on 28 acres of natural bushland beside the pristine Mongarlowe River, Tombarra is conveniently located only 10 minutes’ drive from the historic town of Braidwood and just over an hour from Canberra.
As a true multi-purpose venue Tombarra lends itself to a number of uses ideal for:
The location is quiet and peaceful with often the only sounds being that of native birds or the splash of a trout in the river. During the day take in the river and bushland views from the large deck or perhaps enjoy a coffee or slightly colder drink. There’s also a deck which is closer to the river and at the right time a platypus can often be seen foraging in the clear waters. More energetic outdoor options are a spot of tennis on the full size court or a round of golf in Braidwood. Only a few minutes away the Budawang National Park including the famous Corn Trail offers some wonderful bushwalking opportunities including a walk to the top of Mt Budawang with spectacular 360 degree views of the ocean and Mt Gillamatong to the west. In the evening marvel at the billion blazing stars in a pollution free sky or in the cooler months gather around a bonfire with friends to chat and enjoy a drink or just take in the hypnotic magic of the flames. In addition there is a fully equipped Commercial kitchen and function centre with audio visual facilities. Full catering options are available or self catering for those who love to share their skills and want to do their own thing. Tombarra by the River marvel at the difference, enjoy the experience! |
